I have always seen finance as more than reporting, budgeting or controlling. Numbers matter because they tell us something about the business — how it performs, where value is created, where momentum is lost and where better decisions can be made.
With extensive experience across finance and business performance, I have worked in complex business environments supporting management teams in making sense of financial information and understanding its implications for the business.
Throughout my career, I have worked across the full cycle of financial planning and performance management — from budgeting and forecasting to variance analysis, profitability, cash flow and management reporting. What has interested me most, however, is not simply producing the numbers, but interpreting them in a way that helps organisations understand what is really driving performance.
My experience also spans financial controls, governance, cost efficiency and the evaluation of sales performance, commissions and incentive structures. This has given me a broader view of how financial decisions connect with commercial priorities, organisational choices and the way performance is measured and rewarded.
A significant part of my work has involved acting as a business partner to management and other functions, helping non-financial stakeholders understand the implications of financial results, evaluate alternatives and make more informed choices. This also means being able to challenge assumptions, simplify complexity and connect financial information with commercial and operational priorities.
My approach is structured, pragmatic and business-focused. I believe that good financial thinking should not make business more complicated; it should make it clearer, more focused and more actionable.
I hold a background in Mathematics and an MBA with a focus on Finance, a combination that has shaped the way I approach business problems — with rigour, curiosity and a strong orientation toward practical application.
Today, I collaborate with HR Fusion on selected projects where finance, business performance and people decisions intersect, bringing a financial perspective to areas such as performance, rewards, organisational choices and broader business effectiveness.
